Everyone came to school dressed as their favourite sports people. We had soccer players, gymnasts, basketball players, GAA stars, and many more.
In the morning, some of our 5th class girls organised an obstacle course for Junior and Senior Infants. They had lots of fun.
We had a lovely whole school walk to the beach with some time to play games, dig holes and build sand castles. Always a highlight of Active Week.
A big thank you to Yvonne and Johnny, our parent volunteers, for the jam-packed and fun filled athletics sessions. We had reaction sprints, javelin throwing, sticks jumping, relay races, and a very competitive plank challenge!
Thank you to Ms. Kelly, Eilis Casey and our Active Committee for working hard behind the scenes this week. They also announced the winners of our poster and colouring competitions in each class today.
Well done, everyone, for being such great sports. We’ve all had a ball!
